Patriotic Parfaits

With the 4th of July just around the corner, I wanted to share a fun and easy recipe! These Patriotic Parfaits are super simple to make but look and taste really great! You can go the store bought route if you are pressed for time or you can make from scratch.

PATRIOTIC PARFAITS

  • parfait glasses (large water glasses will work as well)

  • fresh strawberries

  • fresh blueberries

  • pound cake (I used this store bought cake and it was delicious but feel free to make your own)

  • whipped cream (I used Cool Whip but again, feel free to make your own fresh whipped cream)

Rinse blueberries and strawberries. Slice strawberries into bite sized pieces. Slice pound cake into bite sized pieces. Place a few strawberry slices and blueberries in the bottom of the glass and top with a few slices of pound cake and a large dollop of whipped cream. Repeat layers until the glass is full. Garnish the final whipped cream layer with a few slices of strawberries and a few blueberries.

I also made a fun kid (or kid at heart) version of these parfaits inspired by the wonderful Tina at To Mimi’s House We Go!

PATRIOTIC PARFAITS (Kid Version)

  • parfait glasses (large water glasses will work as well)

  • patriotic cupcakes (store bought or homemade)

  • red, white and blue M&Ms

Fill a parfait glass about two-thirds full of M&Ms. Place the cupcake firmly into the M&Ms. Enjoy!

Check out this video for a step by step demo of these two super simple recipes!

I hope you all have a wonderful Independence Day!

Until next time,

Emily
